I think to promote involvement you could change the "date of last edit" to date of last comment. It looks like comments don't change the date, so you can't see the thread has been recently added to.
Is there an email notification option?

On the overall Forum level it shows the Last Post. Why don't you join the site? We have let general WikiDot members to comment on the forums but to get full access to the site, including editing wiki entries and getting email notifications, you need to use the Membership button on the top nav bar and request to join TransTech Wiki.
Thanks Tom. So that solves the notifications question.
Just out of curiosity why is there a two-tier system: registered user and member?
WikiDot is the platform that hosts our site and we have restricted editing entries to those who ask to become members of it.
Thanks Tom.
I've joined the site now but I didn't get notifications of your replies here as I'd expected (and they're not in my spam)
Do I have to change settings to get them?
