HI
I'm an agnostic technophile. Happy to use what has been demonstrated to be useful but no longer trying stuff out for the fun of it. Bit short of time these days! Must be old age. Most likely to chip in on glossary and preparation tools but if someone invents a reliable system that means I can work from my home city in decent working conditions for decent money then I'll talk about remote solutions too ;)
Happy to try to be constructive here.
Thanks to Andy for getting the ball rolling! I'm Alexander, EU staff interpreter and tablet enthusiast. I always like to try out new stuff, but much less than I used to 😉.
Hi terps!
My name is Lourdes de la Torre and I am a young interpreter and technologies lover. I also work at a CAI/IMS-Tool provider but I won't mention it in order to respect the non-advertise rule of the forum. However, I want colleagues to know that I cannot be a neutral participant in some cases (obviously), but I will try to solve your doubts about our system, in case you have.
Also, I am here to read in detail your opinions in order to constantly improve and to develop software beside interpreters.
I am also looking forward to debate about technologies. I really like to test new tools and new ways to increase my efficiency, so let's share our knowledge!! :D
Lourdes feel free to mention the tool you work for, we just don't want people making sales pitches. However as a resource who can give insights into the capabilities of a tool you are associated with can be very helpful to members, so long as it is openly acknowledged.
Thank you very much for the clarification Tom!
I am the proud Creative and Strategy Officer at Interpreters' Help. You can test it for free.
Got it! I will avoid sales pitches. However, if you ever find inappropriate one of my messages, do not hesitate to tell me, il be glad to modify/delete it.
